I could be wrong, but I believe his attempts were in addition to, not in lieu of, whatever traditional medicine had to offer. Unfortunately, for pancreatic cancer, there isn't a whole lot that medical science can currently do, thus another reason Jobs turned to anything that gave him hope. And at least in his case the quacks offering him hope weren't going to bankrupt him.

I hate that we have to legislate instead of educate people about vaccinations. Pretty sad that people listen more to Jenny McCarthy than they do medical doctors. I suppose given that, this legislation is a necessary evil.

Nimoy was one of the better actors in TOS with one of the best characters, and he seemed like a decent guy too in all the interviews I saw. So sad how they're all dying off. Goodbye another piece of my childhood.

I agree. I have no doubt racism still exists. I have some relatives in East Texas that have on many occasions shown that to be true, but in this case it seems more likely to be an overreaction to the Boston incident and Newtown.

Same experience. I'm not sure if it's state wide, but being able to vote at any polling place is fantastic. I have to give major props to the Bernalillo County clerk she's done a hell of a job.
