Comment Define kits (Score 1) 228

If you buy a lower-80, you’re buying a block of plastic (some sell metal ones). There’s no fire control cavity, no way for it to function as a gun. It’s not like you can stop by Gunazon and have a untraceable firearm in minutes. It’s a doorstop, paper weight, etc. and takes tools, time, and some skill to complete the lower. Many incomplete lower sellers just sell this, not an entire kit. A kit has EVERYTHING you need to make a functioning firearm.

This sounds like they’re going after people who sell you the lower-80 and the parts: upper receiver, barrel, BCG, etc. That’s ALWAYS been an issue, it’s regulated, and requires background checks. Some gun dealers tried selling these complete kits, thinking it wasn’t a gray area, and have got themselves in hot water; others knew better.

Leaf blower is a misnomer in my opinion. They really do a lousy job at gathering leaves. I have a 40v battery operated blower I use for blowing sand off my concrete and yard trimmings I blew in the street back into my lawn. Occasionally I use it to blast cobwebs off a bicycle or something stored in the garage.

And that's the big problem: people keep looking at crypto as a get rich quick scheme. But crypto has a much more noble and useful application if we can just get past the false idea of getting rich off of it. It could be great for digital cash. Wouldn't it be great if you could send cash to someone without Paypal/Venmo/Visa policing it? People without bank accounts/reliable banking system could certainly use something like that. Then there are utility use cases such as tracking assets (Raven) or authentic digital signatures.

Ethereum seems to know something the world doesn't about POS. There is a lot at stake leaving POW behind and the latest news from the legislature in the US penalizing POW mining was really interesting (Ethereum lobbying much???).

This is probably because, depending on the outside air where you live, the system would have to enter defrost mode to get ice of the coils outside. It becomes a tug of war, heater will run like crazy to catch up and the coils will freeze. Now it has to run in reverse (AC) and defrost them. Then it has to run in heat now that it's blown cool air in the house. Your preferences may exceed its capabilities. My unit will turn on "emergency heat" where it uses induction coils to catch up if the temperature inside is much lower than the thermostat, but that'll get your meter spinning pretty quick. My unit rarely does this as we run it at 68 at night which is plenty chill for us and it warms up to like 72 in the morning to get us out from under the blankets.
