What's are the odds of these corner cases happening? Agreed, there will be some noise. But hey, you have a great good candidate filter here.
Beautiful girls dig abusive men. And this is no different. "Don't be evil" is for losers. "Be evil" is the new corporate mantra.
The real problem is over-crowding. Everyone is forced to live in the same place, which is driving land prices up and up. Instead force jobs to move elsewhere, that will bring down the demand for the same piece of land.
The "basket of goods" is surely climbing slowly. But hey, then how come we have an asset bubble in real estate?
I think what he want's to say is that, once China's economy overtakes US economy, Chinese currency will have enough traction in the global currency markets to become an alternative to the green back. Today US is able to "export it's debt", because USD is the de-facto currency for all trade globally. Euro could have been a viable alternative, and many predicted during the 2008 crisis that the world will shift towards Euro. But the EU break-up episode in the immediate aftermath proved otherwise.
But China itself is in a debt trap. And the closed nature of their economy does not give much confidence. So far RMB has gathered some traction in the global markets, but not all that much. The day when China overtakes the US economy, could that be the bifurcation point in the global currency market dynamics? Mr. Bove seems to think so. But then again, the global markets are so tightly coupled and intertwined, it could be a hard landing for China, if US faces a major currency devaluation.
I never had a good feeling about this quantitative easing thing. It could have been an opportunity for the US to set its house in order.
Why are so many Christians God fearing instead of God loving?
Because god revealed a bunch of contradictory rules in the bible and then threatened with violence and torture for not abiding them.
I am not entirely sure what are the synergies here. I understand Ansys can do FEA, Thermal, Fluid, EM etc. kind of simulations. But what percentage of Ansys's existing customers are into chip design? And what percentage of Synopsys' existing customer do FEA, Fluid simulation. May be they are a little bit into thermal and EM simulations. And then there is the big question of integration between these software. Historically integration between large engineering software has been poor.
I was an opensource enthusiast during my college days. And I "ripped" many of my music CDs into ogg format. It gave a much better quality than mp3 (don't remember the codec I used) and supported variable rate encoding. I bought a pocket-sized CD player that supported ogg. With that setup, I could fit in a whole bunch of songs on a single CD and walk to the school. It was like my iPod back then. I have now lost many of the music CDs, but I still have the ogg files lying around on my hard disk.
Thanks for adding some sloth to chatGPT! I hope my ex-employers will soon give me a ring and offer me the job they axed me form.
Where's the fairness in that?
It's all a fairytale. And there's the fairness you were looking for.
Jokes apart. The thing is... religion still holds sway over the lives of most people on the planet. Most don't understand reason.
I don't know why the both of you are arguing about Russia and Ukraine, when we are here talking about Moon landing. BTW, Russia stopped mattering to the world a long time ago, except for the oil perhaps.
An economist saying something about science? I wouldn't bother.
And they give peanuts to the authors of those books, if anything. They have a minimum threshold set, before when they give nothing to the author. For many advanced books that serve graduate students, they even fail to reach that threshold. In this day of technology, I wonder why authors still have to rely on publishers? There are so many self-publishing sites that let you publish your book in electronic (sometimes in dead tree) versions. And they share a bigger piece of the list price with the author.
Just the BitCoin alone. Lugging those other things around would raise a lot of suspicion. When it comes to crime, cryptos are your best friend.
