Those engines aren't free. It is true that you can download and start developing without paying a dime, but you pay royalties once you start selling the software you've created with the engine.
This is a very effective security measure. If your system cannot boot it cannot get infected.
But why use the emulator if you can debug directly on a physical device attached to the USB port of the PC. Works much better and easier to test as some sensors cannot be emulated easily. Use a physical device for devlopment and the emulator for automated unit testing.
What costs? Have you ever heard of VMWare Player? Does not cost a thing and works great.

He should know as he is the Google Apps guy.
Yes, also known as the sue-pervisor.
Every time Facebook announces a change in their privacy stuff the change is utterly retarded. People start complaining about it and Facebook steps down a bit claiming they listen to the users. The end result: Facebook get what they want. It is just simple: cross the line, back down a little and you've moved it a little.
note that I have a Facebook account but the things I share there are not private, everybody may see them.
Americans only use old and outdated stuff, like the 12 hour clock, Fahrenheit temperatures and the imperial system. They just refuse to use what the rest of the world uses.
AM and PM is stupid and can be confusing. People often mention the time and assume you know whether they mean AM or PM. Most countries use a 24 hour clock so ditch the 2*12 one. And also ditch the imperial system.
Yes and you need to plug in an iHeadPhone.
This does not seem so strange. It is getting more clear that Oracle just wanted to eliminate the competition. They do not seem to want the assets they aquired from Sun (except for patent s). They just wanted them out of business.
That would be illegal as kittens without legs can fly. Only the landing is a bit difficult.
The company that has done the most damage to Java is Oracle. Will they sue themself next? It seems that Oracle is trying hard to destroy all assets they acquired from the Sun.
You forget the advertising in most free apps. Why do you think Google bought AdMob?
