Those are among the worst keyboards and mice ever made. Just because they didn't stop working yet doesn't mean they were ever good.

Even if courts in every country come together to say you can no longer train AI to do art, we *ALREADY* have Stable Diffusion. It doesn't even require access to the internet to work, so even if the company gets sued into oblivion or they all go to jail, it'll still exist in thousands of people's hard drives. Forever. No amount of complaining will make any difference, so either learn how to make the technology work for you, or change careers, or get used to buying lots of throat spray while you cry yourself hoarse in a corner (nobody will be listening, maybe we'll turn the AI-generated music up to drown it out.) ;)

It's a liberty they're taking that I don't want to give to just everyone.

They have always been subject to faking, since the invention of photography, so there's no reason to ever take any photo or video as real and never has been. It's about time Deep Fakes came along so the people who didn't already realize this get a clue.

They do it specifically because they want to charge you, they don't do anything for free. It's a great AI, but others will catch up that realize that most people aren't interested in a subscription. Put an ad up or two, and that's about it. As amazing as it is, it's still not worth paying for.

It was a far more enjoyable experience. In fact if they still were being made today, I'd want one. Sometimes it would be nice to have a device that is all computer and not made for talking into.

I happened to see them for the first time while camping a few nights ago, what an ugly thing to put in the sky. I pity future generations, the night sky is becoming less and less watchable all the time, even away from the city lights.

DuckDuckGo used to be my go-to search engine, but as of today I'm not going back. What's the best alternative anyone knows of that isn't currently pulling these shenanigans? Even if it's a terrible search engine, that takes 10x longer to use, it'd be well-worth it.

The only actually premium keyboard being made today is at modelfkeyboards.com but even they kinda dropped the ball with a fairly idiotic layout. The capacative buckling spring switches are vastly superior to anything else on the market though, by several orders of magnitude. In the meantime I make do with the antiques I find on ebay. They're getting pricey but well worth it. I plan to use them into my 90s and 100s if I live so long :)

I agree. It might not be as advanced, but it the workflow is an order of magnitude nicer.

I was wondering that myself. Does anyone know if it's even all sequenced from a single human? If not, do we know for sure it could even be a viable birth and able to live a healthy life? Or will it be some kind of Frankenstein?
