Submission + - SPAM: Company provide update on 2016 'we've invented hangover free booze' announcement

Arklighter writes: There was lots of hype last year after an announcement from former UK government drugs adviser David Nutt, in which he claimed to have invented a form of synthetic alcohol that eliminates all the negative aspects of drinking. Not much has been heard about this 'Alcosynth' since 2016, however Nutt's business partner has recently shed more light on the topic in a recent interview.

The team claim that the positive aspects of drinking alcohol — "a slight degree of reduced inhibition in order to increase social interaction, a sense of feeling good, and a sense of curiosity" — have been maintained, but all the negatives, such as hangovers, dizziness and nausea have been eliminated.
