Submission + - Deadly phishing scams

cafucu writes: What would your grandmother do if she received a death threat via email? Would she pay the hitman off, or perhaps contact the authorities? A new phishing scam threatens the recipient with death unless a hefty fee of $80,000 is paid. A mere $20,000 will buy real proof that the threat is legitimate.
"This is surely one of the sickest phishes yet seen," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos, in a statement. "The intention of this e-mail is clearly to frighten the recipient into coughing up a substantial amount of money or, at the very least, their bank account details.
