Slithe writes: McDonalds is using sexy advertising in China to sell its newly introduced Quarter Pounder. Beef is considered a luxury food in China, and it is also considered to increase vigor and sex appeal in men. One racy TV ad features footage of a man and woman eating Quarter Pounders that is interspersed with fireworks and spraying water; the voice over says "You can feel it. Thicker. You can taste it. Juicier."
With the introduction of the Quarter Pounder, McDonalds has decided to push traditional McDonalds food instead of selling foods specifically designed for Chinese markets.
