Submission + - RFID in DVD's to kill Piracy

NoGuffCheck writes: is reporting that DVD's, including HD-DVD and Blu-Ray from Warner, Disney, Fox and other major studios will soon contain RFID chips in an attempt to "kill" piracy completely. Not only will they track each disc from the disc manufacturer to your home, but new home DVD players "will eventually be able to check on the chip embedded in a disc, and refuse to play discs which are copied or played in the 'wrong' geographical region".

Computer programmers do it byte by byte.
