cagraham writes: Google has announced that its Quickoffice app, which lets users view and edit Microsoft Office documents on their phones, will now be available for free to anyone with with a Google account. The app was previously $14.99 for consumers, and free only to Google Apps for Business subscribers. In addition to the app itself, Google is also offering an additional 10GB of GoogleDrive storage to users who register through Quickoffice. The move seems to be aimed at attracting new business customers into the Google ecosystem, and capitalizing on Microsoft's recent stagnation.
