mattydread23 writes: Today, Google cut off Microsoft's access to the APIs it was using for the new Windows Phone YouTube app. (Google isn't interested in making an app for Windows Phone itself, so Microsoft had to do it.) Microsoft's legal department said that Google insisted the app be written in HTML5. But why? Simon Bisson gives a solid technical overview of the dispute and urges the companies to resolve it peacefully.
