Submission + - Unreadable Font Can Protect You From Spying Eyes (itworld.com)

itwbennett writes: Rhode Island School of Design graduate and former NSA contractor Sang Mun has developed a typeface called ZXX that is human-readable but can't be deciphered by OCR software. Of course, this won't prevent anyone from reading your email if they're willing to take the time to do it with their own eyes. But it can at least slow down the information gathering. On his blog, Mun writes that he developed ZXX as a 'call to action, both practically and symbolically, to raise questions about privacy.'
