Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Would you be willing to sign a petition against SecureBoot UEFI?

DaMattster writes: Please visit the White House website and sign the following petition: http://wh.gov/wHLq. When it comes to computing, many slashdotters value openness and SecureBoot UEFI is the very antithesis of open. Instead, SecureBoot UEFI makes it extremely difficult to use Linux, BSD, Minix, or whatever other open source operating systems there are out there. Please help me send a message to Microsoft that this mandate of SecureBoot UEFI in order to run Windows 8 is not only anti-competitive but anti-innovation as well
