An anonymous reader writes: A statistician has demonstrated that the touchscreens of the voting machines used in the Belgian municipal elections in 2012 have influenced the outcomes of the peference votes. When voters pressed to long on a part name, they would jump on the next screen and inadvertently give a vote to a candidate on that list.
