theodp writes: Thieves who targeted Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus over the holiday break reportedly walked away with five iPads but apparently didn’t consider any Microsoft products worth stealing. There’s some speculation that the story — a scan of an apparent article from the print-only Palo Alto Daily Post — may be a goof, but the reported date of the police report matches a burglary incident on CrimeReports.com that occurred on the same block as Microsoft, and certain other details seem to check out.
