Submission + - Cameron Backs Plans to Protect Children With 'Radical' New Web Porn Filters (ibtimes.co.uk)

DavidGilbert99 writes: "UK prime minister has a radical plan in mind to help protect children from what he calls "a silent attack on innocence."

His plan? To put some software on every new PC which forces users to answer a series of questions about whether or not children will be using the computer. If there are then parents can set a series of filter to block porn sites and sites related to self-harm, violence etc.

Parents will also be able to limit the time at which their children can access social media.

Will it ever happen? Who knows, but I'm such internet rights groups, PC manufacturers and ISPs will all have something to say about the matter."
