Submission + - Zero day holes make attackers admins in blue chip clouds (scmagazine.com.au)

mask.of.sanity writes: Zero day exploits have been detailed that allow attackers to open admin accounts on cloud platforms Kaseya and ManageEngine. The managed service providers count the US Air Force and Ferrari as their customers.

The researcher used weaknesses in the cloud user clients, including one targeting a registry file. They remain unpatched but the companies are investigating.
