Plenty of our favourite games glamorise guns, blood and violence; some still insist on pushing archaic stereotypes into the twenty-first century; and many others visualise and sexualise anything with two legs — or more — with little shame.

However, there have been plenty of instances where the media have shown a ridiculous lack of understanding of what they are criticising.
