Due to the alarming statistic, The American Heart Association has created ways to lessen the cardiac arrest ensued mortality rate such as involving those who are not even related to providing health care in management of cardiac arrest incidents. Immediate intervention is required when a cardiac arrest happens since the heart has stopped beating which results to oxygen deprivation to the vital organs especially the brain. More than six minutes of oxygen deprivation results to irreversible brain damage which is very fatal. That is why immediate action is necessary to increase the victims chances of survival.
