Submission + - Scott Adams on What May Ail Larry Page's Voice

theodp writes: Page-ing Dr. Dilbert! Cartoonist Scott Adams checks in again on Google CEO Larry Page's mysterious voice ailment, offering a diagnosis — and his help — after hearing the old and new versions of Page's voice. Having endured similar treatment himself before undergoing corrective surgery, Adams says Page's new voice is identical to the sound of a patient with spasmodic dysphonia after getting Botox injections to the vocal cords to control involuntary spasms. 'Obviously I'm only speculating about Page's voice condition,' says Adams. 'But I'll renew my offer to explain the surgery option to Larry if it turns out he has spasmodic dysphonia and is interested in alternatives.' Noting that Google enabled him to diagnose his own voice problem as spasmodic dysphonia, and Google Alerts led him to a doctor with a cure, Adams tells Page, 'I owe you one.'
