jefereys23 writes: This year, President Barack Obama signed legislation that prevents interest rates on some federal student loans-- specifically, federally backed, subsidized Stafford loans originated for the 2012-2013 school years-- from doubling. This is welcome news for some students. In addition, the Obama administration also is looking into revising other rules on federally guaranteed student loans.
