Submission + - Skype Handed Teenager's Info to Private Company (theepochtimes.com)

jjp9999 writes: Dutch authorities are investigating Skype over allegations that the company handed private information on a 16-year-old user to an IT company. Police files were obtained by Netherlands-based NU, which reported that Skype passed along the teenager's username, real name, e-mail address, and home address. The Epoch Times reports that ' Significantly, Skype handed over the information without receiving a court order, which is in violation of Skype’s stated privacy policy.'
