Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Is droid/apps reading your emails

zlives writes: I know there is no expectation of privacy with a gmail/hotmail/whatever.com email. However If you use a Droid/iPhone with Active-sync corp email. Apps and OS have the capability to read those emails? Does Google or Apple explicitly say that they do not? What kind of issues should I be aware of with 3rd party apps and AS email account containing HIPPA sensitive emails. Are there options to make this workable in a secure fashion... or should I dust off the old BB
