Submission + - Does nuclear power require a new world order? (

mdsolar writes: "An analysis of leaked diplomatic cables shows grave concerns about the ability of developing countries to secure nuclear reactors they are having built. While 'atoms for peace' and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty call for spreading nuclear technology far and wide, there could be problems in unstable regions according to the report. Do we need a new world order to control security at nuclear power plants around the world? Would it really be any different than the security provided to FSU nuclear sites by the US?
