Submission + - African mango (articlesbase.com)

Addiesmith writes: "The African mango, or irvingia gabonensis, is an edible fruit growing in the tropical rainforests of western Cameroon, and has been eaten locally as a food for hundreds of years. But it is the seeds or nuts of the fruit that are most highly prized for their medicinal properties, and are used to treat everything from yellow fever to diarrhea, and by hunters to give them increased energy and combat fatigue."
