Submission + - Facebook Games Make More Money Than Console Titles (industrygamers.com)

donniebaseball23 writes: Currently, Facebook titles like Zynga’s FarmVille aren’t tracked by the NPD, so hard numbers are difficult to come by. A new report, however, based on the fact that 10% of Facebook users pay for virtual items and the average micro-transaction spend of $55 per user, shows some interesting results on how much money Facebook titles really make. Games like CityVille and FarmVille easily rank alongside or in some cases exceed console blockbusters like Call of Duty, Halo, Madden and Mario.
