Submission + - HP Shows Experimental Android Netbook (technologizer.com)

harrymcc writes: HP is as associated with traditional PCs running Windows and based on x86 CPUs as any company on the planet. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, though, it's demoing a netbook running Google's open-source Android OS, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and a touchscreen (and, among other untraditional touches, no function keys). If it comes to market, it'll be a major departure from typical HP fare--but the company says it's all just an experiment at this point and it doesn't know if it'll ship it as a commercial product.
