The 7th Serpent Designer Interviewed 8

Primotech writes "The 7th Serpent is an ambitious total conversion mod for Max Payne 2. It features impressive production values, including a score by the composer from the show ALIAS, and an episodic storyline. We spoke with lead designer Diego Jimenez about the 7th Serpent and the current state of the mod community; the interview also has download links for the mod and trailer. "

  • It's what you'd normally do in the body of the story post...

I don't really care about the interview, but I wouldn't mind seeing what the project is about.

  • This article was really lacking in details. No link to the mod's website, no mention of what tools they are using. Is it a doom3 mod, a source mod, an unreal3 mod? No one knows from reading the article.

  • From RTFA, they chose not to release anything until 2 weeks before they released it. Very nice - as a fan of mods, it's disheartening to see the number of mods that never hit beta, much less release.

I'm wondering if the episodic approach of my own MINERVA mod for HL2 was in any way an influence - I'm finding it to be an incredibly good way of actually releasing single-player stuff, with projects that don't turn into some multi-year slog with no end in sight.

I haven't got Max Payne 2, so sadly won't be able
