I've just upgraded to Web 2.0.1 So far it seems a bit snappier.

Next week: Web 3.0, it's when you can actually download all of the active content onto local storage and run it while disconnected as something they call "An Application". Wild.

I was finally curious enough about what exactly Web 2.0 is to do a google search. Here's a great article from O'Reilly [oreillynet.com] that explains it all. It's a very interesting read. Here are some attributes that are part of Web 2.0 offerings:

• Services, not packaged software, with cost-effective scalability

• Control over unique, hard-to-recreate data sources that get richer as more people use them

• Trusting users as co-developers

• Harnessing collective intelligence

• Leveraging the long tail through customer self-service

• Software above the level of a single device

• Lightweight user interfaces, development models, AND business models
