First one to post in the journal gets to write the next sentence. Post first, confirm you're first, then write the sentence. I'll look at who posts first and link to their journal entry above. Do the same when you write your sentence. Include the link to the first sentence so people can start the story. Try to only take one turn.

Wouldn't it be easier just to write all the sentences here, in your journal?

  Yes. Yes it would. It would also kill both the fun and the visibility of the project, as my friend circle is not as large as the circle of all my friends and their friends and so on.

  Sure, though the plan is supposed to be to be first post in the journal of the sentence you'll follow, saying I have next sentence. Then the person who's journal that is links forward, like I just did to yours.

    Yes, but now SiliconJesus has the third sentence linked to in his journal, which isn't linked to here. Or is that the point? That the first sentence spawns a hydra kind of story, I mean.

      It was intended to be a sort of queue made from a linked list, if you will. My journal entry is the head of the list. Then, each entry acts like a node added on the end, with each node pointing to the next node, or entry. Each one should probably point to the head too, just because people who come in at the middle by viewing some random journal will want to know where to start.
      At least, that was the plan. I hope I haven't created too much confusion with that plan. The reason for doing it over everybody's jo

        Seems we're up to ten sentences and have moved from bricks to trout to ravens to caves to pretend/not pretend space wars.
        I may weep, but I'm not sure if out of joy for it working as well as it has so far or due to our massive literary skills. Anybody with kids who submits a sentence should show this whole thing to them when their kids get a C on an English paper for content purposes...
