glh's Journal: Poll: Thanksgiving Plans?

In the spirit of Em, I thought I'd post a poll. For this thanksgiving, I plan to:

A. Eat lots of turkey | duck | quail | tofu and fall into a food coma
B. Watch the lions lose
C. Play halo 2 | halflife 2 | something else
D. Shop (etail or retail)
E. All of the above
F. None of the above
G. Other
H. I'm not thankful for anything, you insensitive clod!

For me, I think it will be E) all of the above, with Turkey, halo 2 and etail options (though I may be forced to go to Easton in Columbus). Turkey multiple times, probably at least 2 (for both sides of my wife's family. My parents already agreed not to have turkey).

Going to the ex-roomies parents.

with my grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins and parents at my uncle's house in Chattanooga, as is the tradition.

(A) Turkey!

Just a tiny turkey breast roast for the 2 (or 5*) of us. Just enough to have a day or 2 of leftovers. :)

I'm looking forward to 4 days off work, to just relax and not think about satellites or modems or processes.

I'll probably go over to a friend's house and watch movies all day. I doubt I'll do much shopping this weekend because I can't stand crowds and I have to watch my spending until I have a regular paycheck again.

I may go ahead and do some cooking at my friend's house but there probably won't be a big bird involved, more likely is lamb shanks or a beef roast of some sort.

My mom might be doing something in which case I am obligated to make at least a token appearance long enough to scarf down dinner.

Lamb shanks- that sounds like a good idea. I'm getting so tired of the traditional turkey, I'd like to try something new... :) I love lamb, too. Hmm, maybe a big fat gyro would be a nice change of pace :)

I'll be going over to my girlfriend's place and her brother is a big sports fan so I am sure some football will be watched. I'll also probably bust out the mario kart.

Then I may go shopping with my lady OR I may go duck hunting with my brother. :-)
