It's come to my attention that I cannot even meta-moderate on Slashdot.

I have never seen the little "Have you Meta Moderated recently? Regular Meta Moderators are more likely to get mod points." line across the top of my screen with this account.

  • Wait a while, and then you'll become eligible to moderate. New accounts can't moderate at all.

    Used'ta mod about twice a week. Now it's been at least four!

    Waiting to see if my new .sig gets "punished".

  • You must be new. Actually, the program that runs /. recognizes how long or often you are logged on. You will be invited to meta. What happens with me is that I sometimes get too busy to MOD. So, just wait. You will have your time. :)
    • No I'm not new. My other account is from 1998 or
      1999, so it's been a loong time since I had to wait for anything :)

        Maybe there is a conspiracy? Could it be your name? ;-) I am just teasing and I believe (or must believe) that it is a glitch or you are not telling the whole truth. I will tell you why. I am a geek but a book geek and not a programmer but I have been able to meta and mod with no problem. It seems to set itself (the /. program) with how long you are online or log in.

        However, I do not use IE and do use Mozilla Firefox. Maybe tha
