I mean, compiling as you go is cute and all, but, if you want stability, ability to go cutting edge, but a safe base to work from...there's only one real choice.
Of course, I er, uh, don't have it installed on any box currently...it's on the hard drive...but that's not actually connected to the mobo right now...

Actually I've ran into a snag or two. None of the desktop enviroments will finish emerging. they both get hung up on something and error out with no definate message.
So I guess i'll futz with it when I get the notion in another year or so.
