Using iMovie to make a slideshow for my brother-in-law's wedding, I'm amazed at how good the software is. It doesn't even irritate me. Perhaps I'm being seduced by the dark side. After all, I did initially use "Tonight We Murder" by Ministry as the slideshow music.

Needless to say, it did NOT pass the wife test. Nor did the blank title slide which simply said "Who *ARE* these people?"

Yeah, I tried everything. I'm shooting for a mellow rock ballad now, but it's amazing how few ballads actually don't have anything depressing in them. I tried the Foo Fighters "Walking After You", but the chorus has "If you walk out on me, I'm walking after you" which apparently doesn't go at a wedding. I tried U2's "All I Want Is You", which says "All the promises we break, from the cradle to the grave, and all I want is you". I picked up an old James Taylor

Thanks, I'll check them out on iTMS tonight -- if they don't offend my wife within the 30 second sample period, I'm set!

I agree that people don't listen to the words; I could probably slip something by them if I'm sneaky....

Just not Ministry.
