Journal dave1g's Journal: Ask Slashdot...

Currently thinking of writing up an ask slashdot question for submission about the use of software(free or non free) and standard hardware to make a computer that serves as a router that load balances across 2 - 9 different internet connections with possibly different up and down bandwidth on each connection. (and of course make it as cheap as possible)

here is the hitch though; I have 8 usable logins to my apartment's net connection offering 128k up and down per login but...it is a web login. nothing works until you try to acess something with a browser and you get redirected to a webpage with a username/pw box.

Can anyone help me harnest this extra, and free bandwidth, and if not, how about a simpler case with 2 cable net connections?
