My question is, could this eventually lead to something like this in the United States? It's basically one of the steps to becoming a Communisn nation.

I'm not trying to be insensitive to the fact that this news is insulting to anyone who sees the Bible as the word of God. But from the perspective of "true Christians", how would this be any different than the Roman persecution in the 1st-4th centuries?
