LinuxHam's Journal: xbox-linux as MythTV Frontend

I ordered the USB adapter from Lik-Sang today so that I could do the chipless Linux on XBox. In particular, I wanted to hear some comments from people who have installed xbox-linux for the purpose of running a remote MythTV frontend.

I'm actually awaiting info about Myth on Xbox myself, but I thought I'd reply to an earlier Journal you posted.

You mentioned the article on flat-panel TVs and I wanted to point out a drawback the article doesn't mention. The vast majority of these put out resolutions way lower than you think they do.

Thanks for taking the time out to lend a hand, TW. Much appreciated. I'm interested in gutting my computer room and reclaiming the room as living space. I'm not much of a movie watcher, but I do have digital cable which carries some HD channels, including Flyers and Phillies games.

I guess I'm more interested in freeing up floor space with a nice-sized wallmount flatscreen. Size is more important than quality, but its certainly something I would need to check out before making such a hefty investment.
