trifster's Journal: AOL blocking entire ISPs email

So this is my first JE. Baisicly this wasn't good enough for an ask slahdot as it got rejected but here goes....

So this weekend my mom threw a suprise shower for my finace Michelle. I emailed directions to my friend Kristen and a bridesmaid from my http://www.ptd.net/ email to her @aol.com email. The email bounced back because AOL is blocking all emails from my ISP. Yes! they are blocking the entire domain! I have an email into aol's postmaster once again resorting to my threatening taticts of posting the story to various news sites...stay tuned...

They've been being bastards about email for ages, yet the spam gets through. I'd feel differently about their actions if when my gal Michelle checks her AOL mail it wasn't so full of spam. If you measures to supposedly limit the spam worked that's one thing, but throwing out the babbies and keeping the bathwater seems just plain dumb to me.

Don't worry about that non-acceptance. Normal people average 1/30 submissions for acceptance.

I am continuing my practice of trying to get them bad PR. This time I have an email into the WSJ's Walter Mossberg who runs an excellent and well read technology column.

Walt also had a weekly column on TV on the Computer Chronicles, but I haven't seen that show on PBS in years. Sad.
