I get mod points all the time. Seems to me the system doesn't punish you if you don't use them all up so don't feel pressured to mod if you don't want to.

This may have changed, but when I last checked, the mod system worked by tokens. The system would, every once in a while, check who was 'reading articles', and randomly give some of them tokens. (You never see these tokens.) Once you had enough tokens, you'd get modpoints. The key was that 'reading articles' just meant "logged in", "loaded a page recently", and "last page was article.pl or comments.pl" I speculate that people who read a large number of journals (journal.pl) and don't change their thre

I think I remember reading that metamod is handed out to everyone eligible for it every 8 hours, so you will get it 3 times a day if you keep doing it.

How often can I M2?
Several times per day (we adjust this slightly sometimes, to keep M1 and M2 in balance).
I've been getting a lot of M2 but no M1 lately.
