centralizati0n's Journal: Gunslinger Girl...

Gunslinger Girl episodes 12 and 13 are about to come out (episode 12 on 2/11/04), and they will be the conclusion to one of the far better anime shows I have seen. It's basically about a corporation that trains mentally-damaged girls to become assassins for the government, under the veil that they are the "Social Welfare Corporation" and that they give help to those who need it the most. Problem is: mental training takes emotion in one sense, but leaves it in other ways. Great gun battle scenes, great emotional scenes, great music. Here's my little guide to the fansubs if you want to check it out:

[ToTan] - Fastest, but the worst. Their quality is pretty bad, and they even had a whole episode on a bad AR.

[Seichi] - My personal favorite, pretty good quality, great subs, much slower than [ToTan], but worth it.

[AonE] - They would be great, with even better quality than [Seichi], but their codec can't handle subtitles over a moving background, and the subtitles are repeated, like over a bad LCD screen. Not good. Overall, subtitles take more of a literal turn with them. Also, they darken their anime like hell...

Overall, all three use the same raws, so it just shows who does what in which ways. Anyways, see Gunslinger Girl - its good. If you have any anime you suggest I see, post comments and suggest. Thats all, peace.
