Journal JobCenter's Journal: Hiatus 9

Apologies for the long hiatus between journal entries. Job + side contract + daughter's college and financial aid applications + life in general has proven to be somewhat time-consuming. I am in the process of re-verifying the employees wanted entries from the last post. If you had a "Position Wanted" entry, and are no longer looking for a job, please reply to this JE or e-mail me.

If anyone is interested in making this account a joint endeavor, please send me an e-mail. It would be better to avoid long intervals between JEs.

Howdy anonymous job center! I am still, unfortunately, looking for a place of gainful employment.
I'd also be interested in the joint endeavor with the account, but my email is down so feel free to send one to me (jeremy(at)pavleck.com) and we can talk about it. I can receive mail, but /var/ is full so I'm not getting any - need to wait for the sys admin to clear some space... again..

Good to hear you are just busy, and not dead!
  • Our company (The Seva Group [sevagroup.com]) is still very hungry for additional talent. In the last few months, we've hired 3 new folks... and we have some pretty large projects that need talent.

So, consider this my verification :-D
  • While not wanting to disappoint anybody who is already helping me out, I'd also like to point out I'm interested in a position. DC metro or NE Ohio. Admin/management. The rest of you can get your hands dirty writing code:)
  • after being made redundant, I'm now looking for a job, doing just about anything, although web/linux desktop development, or sysadmin would be my preferences.

But hey... if you're going to pay me, I'll do anything you ask me to.

I'm going to be nice and just mention that really sets yourself up for some interesting propositions. :)
  • Hi, I'm a fourth year computer science major at RIT. I'm presently looking to finish up my degree, and in order to do that I need to complete 3 more co-ops. I need to do real and paid computer science work for 350 hours in order for it to count as a single co-op. I'm available from March through September and I am willing to work anywhere as long as I have a place to live and a way to get to work every day. May I also point out the main advantage of hiring co-ops is that we are often just as, if not mor

    jdi^3,

I found a job. Please remove me from the job center list! Thanks for your efforts.

  • I'm also looking for employment. I'm currently in the Washington/Baltimore area, but would be willing to relocate for the right opportunity. I'm an experienced Solaris sysadmin with 8 years Solaris experience. I've also worked extensively with Veritas products including Volume Manager, Cluster Server, and Volume Replicator. I built out the SAN and NAS infrastructure at my last position. I also have some project management experience. Anyone who wants my full resume, just send me an email and I'll get
