Journal danharan's Journal: Why I might be your friend 2

If I'm you're fan, I probably don't know you, but I read a post of yours that seemed good enough that I wanted to see your next posts.

Someone posted the idea in their sig, I thought it was a good idea although I can't remember who it was.

After 2 weeks of using this strategy, I have started noticing some patterns. My "friends" continue to post interesting comments- it wasn't just a fluke. Their friends generally post interesting comments too, thought that's more hit-and-miss.

Overall, it works, and I would like more of my friends to do the same, so I can read more interesting stuff (what their friends write) and less predictable stuff like M$ bashing. I know they're evil already, let's improve the signal/noise ratio.

If more people used such a strategy the trolls would hardly ever get read, which is fine by me.

Kudos to whoever put in these features.

    I noticed you in my fan list and popped over to read your journal. Adding interesting posters as friends sounds like a good strategy to me, and I certainly don't mind having another name in the Fan column. :)
