Yes, I know. This site may get hundreds of new subbited a day.

What I do not understand is, how a techie site gives favor to an article like "decorated my cubicle as a house" or, maybe even more evil "Ask Slashdot: Recommendations For A Good Laptop Bag?" (yukk!) rather than about launch of a product, that can make a bunch (just a few) of desktop PCs be as much of a supoercomputer as is Japans "Earth Simulator" for less than $100.000. The Earth Simulator cost over $350.000.000 and occupies a whole building. (see here [Extremetech.com] and here [WIRED]). That would be a revolutionary product. Just as were the first 3D accelerators, which were, consider Voodoo, also SMP-scalable chips on a PCI add-on card.

See, it's not that I am being picky or so. I am just asking myself how the editors tend to think about things.

Thinking about this, maybe I should set up a site, that does nothing else, than publishing those rejected articles on Slashdot (and reject some of them as well).

Besides that, it would be an exact clone of slashdot, just being held in orange or bordeaux or so.

Oh bummers...trashpot.org is already taken, just checked it. Damn it! Oh, and on a sidenote: I see no reason for tables or even better, horizontal rulers to be a security risk to slashdot. Neither for colors. So why can't I use them in my journal ? This looks shit this way.
