I envy your cold weather

  • I stopped by an awsome Blues/Jazz Club there about 10 yrs ago I think.

It was in the basement or sub-basement of a building in a run-down industrial area. Inside it was beautifully preserved all brick construction. I don't remember any structural wood at all.

No idea how to get there or the address. Found it in the middle of the night while I was on the way to Ft. Rucker, AL.

Lots of hot chicks too but none who wanted to talk to the only white face in the area :(
    • I doubt you drove through England on the way to Ft. Rucker, AL.

There probably are a few good jazz and blues clubs round here too.. I might go for a hunt around.
      • Ack! You fooled me by saying Burmingham and good weather in November! LOL!

How is that girl doing that the Sex Pistols sang about in "Bodies"?

  • Strangely I've been through the former and not the latter.
    • What did you think of it? Recently they have redeveloped it alot, its a very nice place.
      • It's very deja vu. It reminds me of Cleveland and the rest of the US Midwest rustbelt: ex-industrial town, glutted by globalization, trying to revitalizing itself (this was about... six years back?). Of course I got my picture taken at that Ironman statue. And I'm a fan of the brummy musical scene: Justin Broderick, G.C. Greene, Paul Neville, Mick Harris. More unabashed and raw (as compared to the deified airs put on by Manchester or London). For those reasons it seemed familiar and welcoming.
