Journal Surak's Journal: Who looks down on whom 16

Find out where you fit in the grand scheme of geekdom with the Geek Hierarchy chart.

Pagans may also want to find out where they fit in the grand scheme of paganism with the Pagan Hierarchy Chart. [Disclaimer: If you don't know a Thelemite from a Wiccan, you probably won't get it. ;)] Pagans should start with the *second* link because it refers to the first one, although I suppose you could start with either one.

  • Where does Slashdot lUser fit on that chart? :)

Given that I know a Brit-trad wiccan furry (who has the occasional foray into crystal healing), that's quite amusing :-) Yes, we do all look down on him a bit...
  • should be at the top of the heap!

And for the record, while i may joke about dragonses, i'm not that nuts!!! (was it a joke that the solitaries were off by themselves?)

    • should be at the top of the heap!

      Would that be you? ;)

And for the record, while i may joke about dragonses, i'm not that nuts!!!

You MUST be nuts because, after all, you think I have an accent. ;) *ducking*

(was it a joke that the solitaries were off by themselves?)

I didn't make the chart, it was pointed out to me by a friend of mine who found it to be particularly hilarious (thanks, Omega). But, yes, I'd be willing to be that was a joke in and of itself.
  • Uh... wrong subject, but what the hell, MozillaFirebird picked it for me. So, all my "religious" friends and acquaintances call me a pagan for some reason[*], but I'm a self-professed athiest, and I'm ordained through the ULC[+]. Yeah, and I'm pretty sure I had a point, but I got distracted by playing with little computer case-screws, so I think I'll go back to doing that. Yay!

[*]: This -might- be because I celebrate Mithra's Birthday instead of Christmas, but I don't worship him... jeez...
    • Lemme get this straight. You are a self-professed atheist who is ordained through the Universal Life Church[*], who celebrates Mithra's Birthday, but doesn't worship him, who happens to be a pro-Microsoft Zealot that uses Mozilla Firebird rather than Internet Exploiter?

Have you considered seeking professional help? ;)

[*] 1) The ULC is not an atheist organization, and 2) to be fair, anybody with an Internet connection can be ordained [ulc.org] through ULC [ulc.org]. My dog (who passed away about a year ago -- he was 18 year
      • Yes, I'm ordained dispite my athiest status. I figured it would help my political career. Ah, and I'm not a pro-Microsoft zealot, I'm an OS pragmatist, but MozillaFirebird decided I was going to ask about zealots, when I went to type "What about Me?", so I guess it knows best. :P
  • When you fit in the all of the top 5 levels?
  • I'm all over the bloody chart. Both of them. And as I can't look up to myself (for anatomical reasons), I'm forced to look down on myself. So, one part of me (to be more precise, the part above my shoulders) is feeling *very* snobby right now and the middle sections are a bit confused thereof. Fortunately, my feet (whom every other part looks down on) don't get it and think I'm shoegazing again.

  • I'm near the top of an org chart.
Knew that history degree would be good for something, sometime!
  • Both charts are pretty funny! :)

Its been a while since I've read any works, but isn't the A:.A:. a "subset" of O.T.O. or more a spin-off? A:.A:. was mainly Crowleys' take on O.T.O?
