Emp: This digital recorder will record for up to 490 minutes!
Cust: 490 minutes? That's about an hour isn't it?

Cust: How long will this battery last?
Emp: Typically about a year to a year and a half
Cust: How long is that??

Cust: How long are these batteries good for?
Emp: Sir, those are good in their package until at least 2009!
Cust: *thinks* Why.. that's 997 years ago, sir!
Emp (and other customers): *stare blankly*
*Cust opens checkbook calendar*: Oh.. uh...

Emp: Please make sure you charge this new cordless phone battery at least 12 hours or so before using it, to make sure it gets a good, full charge.
Cust: 12 hours?! That's like 3 days isn't it?!
