Journal LoseNotLooseGuy's Journal: The campaign has begun 2
I have placed my first two comments. I am eager to see whether they will generate replies or catch the attention of moderators. The question is whether more people agree with my position, or more people feel that the comments are irrelevant and offtopic. Either way, the quest must continue.
Quest, Not Qwest (Score:1)
I had to look twice at the word "quest" in your journal entry, before I realized that it might be the result of branding on my mind. And I don't even live in the states!
Then again, it could have just been a lapse in perception. Good luck on your mission, though I see other quandries with greater frequency. "Than/then" and "your/you're" come to mind most readily. I'd even venture to say they are even more annoying. However, I suppose it is more difficult to do a simple search through the comments for such transgressions than for a word with less common usage like "loose".

Your wish for luck is appreciated. Judging by comments to date, perhaps my quest will not be futile.
The lose/loose error was chosen because it irritates me above all others. Your/you're is also annoying, but even the great LoseNotLooseGuy has limited time to spend cleansing Slashdot of evil.
