Why don't they just add a (-1, Bitchslap) moderation category instead of hiding behind "Overrated"?

These 3 comments (2 of mine, and 1 of Jugulator's) were modded down to -1 in the span of less than a minute (from scores of 3 and 2).

There were a bunch of comments that got modded overrated that were relevant. I modded some comments up but ran out eventually. I normally reserve a few points out of every five but I wished I had browsed -1 from the beginning to spot it earlier.

What I think happened was something went awry in the posting system and non-subscribers saw the red banner and email link that subscribers are used to seeing. The subscribers then modded down the non-subscribers who posted not realizing the people posting were seein

I can't complain really. I consider -1 Informative being better than -1 Off-topic (like the last time I mentioned daddypants). :-) But I hereby consider "daddypants" being a magic word to burn karma. ;-)

And getting modded to -1 Funny looks pretty neat too.

Btw, this reminds me of that troll that became "+5, Troll". :-)
