Certainly, their point of my comment in a discussion in my own journal entry being overrated must be accurate. And the fact that all four of these happened in a very short time is nothing but a coincidence. Nothing to see here...

That said, I see mod-bombing as way below you. I wouldn't have suspected you even if you hadn't already written in that JE.
Regardless, it was a futile gesture by whoever did it. I've had people unload 10 downmods on me in a single shot and that didn't move my karma either.

I seem to get hit like this every month or two myself.
It has actually been a while since this has happened to me, it use to be more frequent. That said, I don't write on here quite as often as I did years ago...
It's never yet caused any change I could see in my karma
I generally make a point of pointing out the futility of the action.
I think any regular poster with strong points of view (on whichever side of whatever issue) probably gets hit with it at some point.
At this point I will reiterate my standard point of the fact that when slashdot had a working metamoderation system, there was a mechanism for preventing this from happening in the future. They permanently broke that system a few years ago and now we're back to this.
