TibbonZero's Journal: Walmart bans certain men's magazines? Maxim?

Ok. So this really pisses me off.
In short, Walmart has decieded to not allow 'racy' men's magazines to be sold there. Not that I shop Walmart for men's magazines.... WTF?

I have two problems with this. For one thing, what is Walmart's deal with censoring things. They sell guns at some Walmarts- but yet found Nirvana's In Utereo CD offensive because of 'Rape Me'?
They act like they are the voice of God and everything moral in the US. Where do they get it that they need to censor what they have in a store, when it's nothing that needs to be censored, but yet- they carry the Bible, which has some pretty racy stuff in it. Blowing up cities with trumpets (Terrorism), Crucifying people (toruturing jews?), a hating gays, people not wearing underwear and just wearing robes, prositutes, and shit like putting people in lion dens?
Ok, that's a little extreme, but Walmart is just too fucking consevative.

My other rant, is that about women's magazines. So Cosmo gets to stay? "50 ways to make your man say ah....", "Fake an orgasim today", "Larger Breasts Now", "Lose 10 pounds in 1 day" (amputate you own arm for that one). BTW, why is it that we always hear of men having to amputate body parts when they get stuck in the woods, and women's bodies being found dead under rocks... I thought they had a higher threshold for pain or something. Anyway. So why do the women's magazines get to rule, when Maxim gets kicked out?

Rockslid men cut their losses and run. Rockslid women die because there's no one to bitch to about the rockslide.

When you go to Walmart, you see twice as many women as men.

Think about it a while and you'll realize I just answered every question you ever had. You can now graduate Slashdot and move on to the center of higher learning that is personals.yahoo.com.

I thought i've seen stores actually go and buy from other stores that have huge sales on a few items- so they can 1) resell it for more later, 2) make it so the other store is out of the hot product, but they have it- so the people come to their store and buy it. Think about the hot kid's toys. They normally are being bought up by other retailers to sell for more.
